Layers of Spirit

Walking into the mysterious unknown
Leaves feelings
Intense feelings
Disturbed feelings
Feelings that shake my foundations
Shake the shadows from my soul
Shake the thoughts from my head
Shake the warmth from my body
The skin that I was born in has many layers
The layers of my skin are thick and plentiful
The plethora of layers amplify themselves loudly
Within every layer there is a truth that is me
Within every layer I have been supplanted
Within every layer a part of me is known
Spirit is a part of me
Spirit holds me in love
Spirit caresses my heart
Today I will embrace spirit
