Narrowly masking naked miracles
Hidden hues abused
Amid wine and water

Unchanging and rather tedious

The gloriousness of a sunset

can be stunning and colourful

These eyes have become blind

to its beauty

The sound of the world as it wakes

has become but a quiet whisper

on my tongue

is like the sweet nectar, still

Time changes the view in my window

Layers of Spirit

Walking into the mysterious unknown
Leaves feelings
Intense feelings
Disturbed feelings
Feelings that shake my foundations
Shake the shadows from my soul
Shake the thoughts from my head
Shake the warmth from my body
The skin that I was born in has many layers
The layers of my skin are thick and plentiful
The plethora of layers amplify themselves loudly
Within every layer there is a truth that is me
Within every layer I have been supplanted
Within every layer a part of me is known
Spirit is a part of me
Spirit holds me in love
Spirit caresses my heart
Today I will embrace spirit

Homeward Bound

I step outside into the cool briskness
The early morning fog clings to me
Like a woollen blanket trying to keep me warm
But I lash out with my arms and legs
Trying to kick it off and make haste
In the direction of home
Down the steady mountainside into
The foggy mists
Closer to the comforts of a warm coffee
And the thoughts of a hot shower
bucketing down on me
This urges me onwards and almost making me run
I watch the birds as I walk briskly
And in most gardens they have been busy serving breakfast
They stare at me as if to say
Get your own
This is mine
And you are not invited
The thoughts in my head keep me in good company
Until I reach the end of my journey
Home.

Sitting on the sand,watching the boats in the water
Yachts with massive sails,bright little kayaks
Motor launches anchored off the beach
Owners who have all ready rowed to the shore
in their rubber dinghy and are baking on the white coarse sand
Streams of people parade pass me
Very much like the masses in the mall
Instead of high fashion clothes, they are suntanned and almost naked
Walking and talking, sharing good times
On this fine sunny day

A choice that we can make

Technicolour visions
